We spend about a third of our lifetime sleeping. Getting a restful nights sleep is crucial for our well-being and survival. Primary, sleep helps with memory, but sleep also restores and rejuvenates us, helps with muscle and tissue repair and re-balances our hormones. Common sleep problems I see in my practice include insomnia, restless leg syndrome, jet lag, circadian rhythm sleep disorder, sleep walking, and narcolepsy. I incorporate CBT-Insomnia as well as management with medication when indicated to help treat these ailments.
